Hudson Card Transfer Portal Predictions

A lot of quarterbacks have entered the portal since the college football regular season finished, but none will be as coveted as Texas QB Hudson Card. In his five appearances in games this past year, Card completed just short of 70% of his passing, throwing for 928 yards and 6 touchdowns to 1 interception. Many big name schools will be looking for a quarterback in the portal, and Card is definitely at the top of a lot of teams lists.

WHERE I WANT: Oklahoma State Cowboys

With Spencer Sanders entering the portal himself, Mike Gundy will be looking to replace him for this upcoming season. Card is a prime candidate for Gundy, as someone who offers some experience, and will fit the offense well. Gundy is also the spiteful type, and being able to take a quarterback from Texas right before they leave for the SEC would be a dream for him.

OTHER REALISTIC OPTIONS: Notre Dame Fighting Irish, TCU Horned Frogs

The reasoning behind Oklahoma State fights for Notre Dame. With Drew Pyne leaving into the portal, Card is a very good option for coach Marcus Freeman to turn too if he wants to not take a step back in his second season.  Similarly, with TCU, with Max Duggan graduating they will look to replace him with someone who can bring them back to the playoff. Card offers that option, especially if he is looking to remain in Texas.

SLEEPER TEAM: Kentucky Wildcats

Will Levis has announced that he is entering the draft, so the Wildcats will be in the market for another QB. Kentucky is also looking for a new offensive coordinator, so there is a chance they can lure Card in with whoever they sign.
